Post-print is an on-going project which aims to explore the creative possibilities of augmented reality (AR) alongside graphic design. The focus, for now, is poster design and the use of 3D space as a tool for communication.
The content is being created over time and will be posted continuously to the instagram page, allowing you to keep track of the progress.
About the project
How can virtual 3D space help delivering a message? The augmented content layer can add both depth and movement to the design. It also enables the creation of a new information layer, resulting in a more interactive and engaging experience for the viewer.
Post-print was initiated in 2017 by Serafim Mendes, in the context of his thesis for the MA in Communication Design at ESAD Matosinhos. Serafim Mendes is both a student and a freelance graphic designer/illustrator based in Porto, Portugal. His focus within graphic design is mostly typography, 3D, poster, editorial, and identity design.
The app
The Post-print player app is available at both App Store and Play Store. It allows you to experience the augmented designs through your device, at the exhibitions.
